Something to think about……..
Since Mother’s Day is fast approaching (May 12, 2013), think about this:
The lessons your Mom taught you while you were growing up are actually terrific business lessons.  Look at the list below and see if you don’t find them to be excellent customer service tips:
  •       Never ask for something without saying “please” or receive something from another person without saying “thank you”.
       ·     Always say “I’m sorry” when you upset someone of make a mistake.

·      Always keep your promises.

·      Never tell a lie.

·      If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.

·      Try to see it from his or her point of view.

·      Treat others as you would want to be treated.

·      Walk through the door at work with a drive for excellence.
  •  All moms want their kids to be above average. So strive to give your customers the kind of service your Mom would have bragged about to the neighbors.

One final suggestion.  The next time a customer thanks you for your help, or you get a pat on the back for a job well done, or you accomplish something you’re proud of at work, call up  your mother.  (If your mother has passed away, imagine speaking to her as if she was still with us). When she answers, say "Hi mom, something good happened today, and I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did for me and everything you taught me.  I now realize I am where I am because of you”.
